Who am I?

Hello! I am a recent graduate from Columbia University where I graduated with academic honors in Architecture and Design. I am a Product Designer who has worked on VR products at Meta, security implementations on the Facebook App and I have designed robotics and completed research at the MIT Media Labs!

What do I do in my free time?

💬 I read! A ton! Check out my GoodReads!

💬 I’m a Project Manager/Coordinator for YW Boston working on DEI & accessibility!

💬 I’m on the Columbia Alumni Council and plan events for students!

ABOUT ME

I believe that design is…

  • Being intentional when designing refers to the practice of designing or creating something with a specific purpose or goal in mind. This means considering the context, user needs, and desired outcomes of a design, and using this information to inform the design process.

Being intentional when designing involves being deliberate and purposeful in your approach. It means taking the time to consider the needs and goals of your design, and working to create a solution that is functional, effective, and meets the needs of your users.

Being intentional when designing also involves being mindful of the impact of your design on others and the world around us. This can involve considering the sustainability and social responsibility of your design, and working to create solutions that are beneficial to people and the environment.

  • Accessible design involves considering the needs of all users and ensuring that products and spaces are easy to use, navigate, and understand, regardless of ability level. This can involve designing products with features such as large buttons, clear labels, and easy-to-use controls, or designing environments with accessible features.

Accessible design is important because it helps to ensure that products and environments are usable by the widest possible range of people, and it can help to reduce barriers and improve the quality of life for people with disabilities.

  • Dynamic design refers to the practice of designing products, systems, or environments that are able to change and adapt over time in response to changing needs or conditions. This can involve designing products with flexible or modular components that can be easily modified or added to, or designing systems that are able to adapt to different user needs or preferences.

Dynamic design can be applied to a wide range of fields, including product design, architecture, and engineering. It involves considering the long-term needs and evolution of a product or system, and designing it in a way that allows it to adapt and change over time.
